KOKL has a rich history in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Broadcasting first in 1922, this station has seen many changes, in groups, as well as in call letters and areas. Sway Brewer, father of current proprietor Brooks Brewer, purchased the station in 1972 and in 1997, moved the station from the Enterprise working in Okmulgee to its present area in the Kress building which is saturated with Okmulgee history itself. Weave secured a wide range of neighborhood games and news, and down home music. For his astounding commitments to the radio business, Bob Brewer was accepted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 2000. In 2014, Bob resigned and Brooks bought the station from his dad. Rivulets gladly proceeds with the solid custom of KOKL radio today.
